Dietary Diversity Choices of Women: Evidence from Cassava Farming Households in Nigeria

In this study, we examined dietary diversity of women in cassava farming households South-West, Nigeria. Multi-stage sampling procedure was used to collect data on 352 comprising 212 members (158 child-bearing age (20-49 years) and 54 above 49 between December 2019 March 2020 Oyo Ogun States The Minimum Dietary Diversity for Women (MDD-W) questionnaire adapted obtain the scores (DDS) child bearing over a 24-hour recall period. individual version Household DDS years. Separate logistic regression models were fitted determine influence selected variables two categories women. Our results show that more than half (55.1%) category did not attain minimum score 5 out 10 food groups. older (> years), (68.5%) met required 4 or category, odds attaining level 0.04% smaller with an additional increase transport cost. Also, who had female household heads approximately three times likely have heads. 98.9% good road condition poor condition. These are useful evidence-based decision making can positive impact lives households.
